Strength in Numbers
Established in 1921, the Northern Rhode Island Board of REALTORS® is one of 1,100 chartered member Boards of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Voice for Real Estate in the United States®.
As a professional trade association, we serve real estate and appraisal licensees in Northern Rhode Island, including but not limited to the towns of Cumberland, Central Falls, Lincoln, North Smithfield, Pawtucket and Woonsocket. We advocate on behalf of our members and their clients while providing professional development opportunities and resources to our members.
Our members also include Affiliates. These business professionals are not licensed to sell or appraise property but do provide relevant services and products to REALTORS® and their clients

Advocacy
We advocate for our members in the local, state and national realm and work to present a positive image of our REALTOR® members to the public.
Member Recognition & Participation
The Board recognizes the sales achievements of its members, the contributions they make to the industry and to the community. These include the Diamond Sales Awards, members being good neighbors, awards for professionalism and contributions to the real estate industry. We provide opportunities for members to volunteer on a one-time or ongoing basis.
Networking Events
Allowing members to relax, meet new people and share positive experiences, including our annual REALTORS Have Heart Fundraiser, Annual Meeting and holiday party.
Professional Standards
Our Board promotes professionals conduct through adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®. We provide ombudsperson services, evaluate complaints from members and the general public involving ethics or arbitration matters, conduct mediation and professional standards hearings.
Information
The Board provides newsletter updates on legislative, legal, industry issues, motivational articles, real estate trends and Board events. We also distribute email and text notices to our members to keep them updated in a cost-efficient manner. Our website and Facebook page also contain relevant REALTOR® and consumer information.
Community Programs
The Board gives back to the communities it serves and invites all members to participate. Projects include an annual scholarship program, fundraising drives, and hands-on volunteer opportunities.
Professional Development
Programs are held throughout the year to expand to members’ knowledge and help them to better serve their clients, earn professional designations and increase awareness regarding personal safety in their jobs. Online courses are available, as are pre-licensing classes.
Orientation
Sessions acquaint new members with Association services and allow them to Network with Association leaders, industry partners and other new members.
