PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Our Education Center seats up to 30 and is conveniently located off Route 146 in Lincoln with ample free parking.  We are a certified Real Estate School with the RI Department of Business Regulation and offer professional development programs both at our facility and via Zoom.  Any students attending our zoom classes must comply with our Code of Conduct.   For more on our upcoming classes, see our calendar.

Real Estate License Renewals

RI real estate licensees must renew their license every 2 years.  For those who were licensed prior to 1/1/2020, be prepared to renew your license by 4/30/2024.  For those that were licensed after 1/1/2020, your license has an issue date on it, which is your “anniversary”.  You will renew your license every 2 years just prior to your anniversary date. 

Renewal notices are emailed by the RI Department of Business Regulation’s (DBR) Real Estate Division to your email address so keep your email address current with the RI DBR.  Effective 1/1/22, all licensees must complete 3 hours of Fair Housing Education. The education must be part of the 24-hour continuing education requirement in order to renew.

REALTOR® CODE OF ETHICS
The 7th cycle is (1/1/22 – 12/31/24).  Acceptable REALTOR® Code of Ethics classes include NRIBR’s 9/19/23 class from 5:30 – 8:30 pm  OR  3 online options marked “NAR ethics” on nribr.theceshop.com    or RI Assoc. of REALTORS®  or  National Assoc. of REALTORS®.  Or complete the NAR Commitment to Excellence during this time frame.  

Certified Schools with the RI Department of Business Regulation with a vetted Ethics course:  Ambiview, Keep Me Certified, McKissock, Real Estate Nexus Training Academy, RI School of Real Estate.

SALES PRE-LICENSING
Sales Pre-licensing course # PLGP8 – offered in cooperation with the RI Association of REALTORS®.  Our next classes will be held in person as follows:  Fall 2023:   9/13/23 – 11/6/23 (Mon & Wed evenings from 6-9 pm).  March 2024:  3/6/24 – 4/24/24 (Mon & Wed evenings from 6-9 pm).  Registration available on this page.  Approved for 45 hours of pre-licensing instruction in order to sit for RI Real Estate Salesperson’s Exam.  Cost is $299 non-sponsored or $279 sponsored.  Fees include materials, access to the state law review webinar, discounted pricing for the required 3-hour Lead class.  Course meets for 15 sessions.  Instructor follows one syllabus to allow students to make-up any missed classes as necessary for additional fees per class.  View all class policies HERE.
