Real Estate License Renewals
RI real estate licensees must renew their license every 2 years.  For those who were licensed prior to 1/1/2020, be prepared to renew your license by 4/30/2022.  For those that were licensed after 1/1/2020, your license has an issue date on it, which is your “anniversary”.  You will renew your license every 2 years just prior to your anniversary date.  Renewal notices are emailed by the RI Department of Business Regulation’s (DBR) Real Estate Division in February to your email address so keep your email address current with the RI DBR.  What’s new for 2022?  All licensees must complete 3 hours of Fair Housing Education.

Starting 1/1/22, we will begin the 7th cycle (1/1/22 – 12/31/24). Only REALTOR® Code of Ethics classes offered by their local Association, the State Association or the National Association will be accepted for this membership obligation per NAR.  Approved classes include:  NRIBR’s 11/17/22 class from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm  OR  3 online options marked “NAR ethics” on   or  2 online options through  tagged as “NAR Ethics”  or RI Assoc. of REALTORS®  or  National Assoc.of REALTORS®.
